Isobar Science is now part of the SGS Industries & Environment Division

SGS North America has acquired geochemical fingerprinting laboratory Isobar Science through its acquisition of Miami-based radiocarbon dating lab Beta Analytic. Isobar Science is a subsidiary of Beta Analytic that offers professional, high-quality analysis of boron, lead, and strontium isotopes, as well as uranium-thorium dating and strontium chronology.

Marcus Maguire, Head of SGS EHS North America, says that this acquisition enhances the SGS network’s radiochemistry testing capabilities and strengthens the company’s position in sustainability-related services in North America. By integrating Isobar’s specialized services, SGS can offer more innovative and targeted solutions for its clients in various industries.

Isobar Science’s Vice President of Marketing Haley Gershon, adds that there are no changes to the lab’s day-to-day operations. “We thank our clients for their trust and support. We’re looking forward to serving our clients as part of the SGS network.”
